One of our top clients, a leading consumer products manufacturer, currently seeks an industrial engineer for a highly visible, growth opportunity.
Description: Identifies designs, tests, implements and measures process improvements to meet production, safety, cost improvement and environmental goals. This position utilizes lean manufacturing principles, processes and tools to support operational and site objectives and to provide organizational agility. The Industrial Engineer determines and establishes systematic improvements that will promote and sustain long-term continuous improvement programs consistent with overall business strategies and initiatives. The Industrial Engineer works with multiple levels of plant personnel to achieve objectives.•    Utilizes Lean/Six Sigma, SPC, JIT, 5S/Visual Factory and Value Stream/Process Mapping tools to drive operational efficiencies which result in measurable, continuous improvements.
•    Identifies improvements to equipment and processes to ensure increased manufacturing capabilities.
•    Develops performance metrics and collects and analyzes data to measure process stability.
•    Identifies the Key Productivity Indicators (KPI’s) and applies systems and controls to monitor those characteristics.
•    Develops and writes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
•    Evaluates processes using Mapping tools to identify areas for future/continued improvement opportunities.
•    Analyzes production quality, quantity and delay data to modify operating and maintenance tasks.
•    Analyzes best practices for applicable techniques and processes that can continually improve site specific processes.
•    Analyzes equipment failure/root cause analysis reports and determines/evaluates corrective actions.
•    Develops cost justifications for improvement projects and corrective actions.
•    Performs cost and benefits analysis.
•    Prepares flow diagrams and charts, forms, documents and reports for improvement activities.
•    Manages cost and time constraints on projects.
•    Assists with development of cost standards for manufacturing.
•    Trains plant personnel in CI methodologies as required.
•    Involves plant teams in improvement processes to develop and support a culture of continuous improvement.
•    Utilizes change management principles to effectively communicate CI change with all levels of employees.

•    Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company rules and policies and the EBS Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering required.
•    Master’s Degree in Engineering/Business is highly desirable.
•    TPS / Standard Work experience required.
•    Formal Lean/Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt training preferred.
•    A.S.M.E. Certification desirable.
•    Minimum five-to-seven (5-7) years related experience in manufacturing.
•    Knowledge and understanding of lean practices, quality and R&D processes and diverse manufacturing operations.
•    Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and process improvement methodology.
•    Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
•    Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and in presentation, project management and statistical (Minitab, JMP, etc.) software.
•    SAP experience desirable.
