Kappa Search | Chicago Recruiters | Network Sales Engineer

Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago technical recruitment firm that specializes in engineering, technology, technical sales and telecom/datacom recruitment and placement. We are currently recruiting for a Chicago-based Regional Sales Engineer with network products experience.

This individual will own and develop the North-Central Territory of the US, with experience in the network monitoring / network management / network security space. More specifically, the ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with positioning and selling network monitoring analyzer tools, and/or network security tools for the telecom, enterprise, and government markets. The position involves building and managing strategic relationships with channel partnerships, and taking a proactive approach in driving the company’s growth. This is a full time opportunity.

Description of Duties:

  • Identify and develop new key strategic partner relationships and alliances in the assigned target region.
  • Develop mid to executive level relationships with key partners and customers, ensuring revenue, market share, and growth objectives are met
  • Manage ongoing relationships with channel partners and customers; including the planning of sales and product/sales training, administering customer presentations, managing partner/customer contract agreements
  • Manage and maintain partner retention, growth, and end user satisfaction
  • Create an accurate sales forecast/program based on information gathered from channel partners and customers.
  • Effectively manage the territory market to avoid channel conflicts
  • Communicate and train partners on new products and features
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience, Skills & Education:

  • University degree with minimum of 5+ years of Business Development and Channel Management experience.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in Network Monitoring, Network Management, and/or Network Security tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and close business deals.
  • Experience with building strategic relationships with all levels within an organization, including the top executives.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) presentation and organizational skills.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must be located in the Chicago area.
