Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago recruiting agency that specializes in engineering, technical sales and manufacturing recruitment and placement. We are currently recruiting for an inside Sales Engineer for the following opportunity.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

  •   Provide technical sales assistance and support in the design and integration of customer applications.
  • May prepare and present demonstrations and applications of company product.
  • May provide training and follow-up technical support for customers and distributors.
  • Refer any problems to group leader or supervisor. Adhere to all divisional health and safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for product selection assistance to customer and customer liaison of assigned products for designated territories and accounts.
  • Perform engineering calculations as necessary for product selection to meet customer requirements.
  • Takes ownership of quality issues from North American customers and acts as an internal advocate for the customer.
  • Will utilize an in-depth knowledge of all motor technologies to aid in problem resolution.
  • Using customer feedback and internal analysis will determine root cause and will also have an active involvement in determining a countermeasure that is sufficient both for the customer and the manufacturing site.
  • Interprets customer needs and aids the customer in defining technical and commercial requirements. This requires the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Reduce the amount of time account managers and product line managers spend actively resolving quality issues, qualifying leads and providing technical support.
  • Displays tact and diplomacy in an effort to never compromise our integrity while interfacing with customers.
  • Effectively works across cultures, facilities, distance, and time zones.
  • Superior communication skills, via telephone, fax, email, letters and in person, required for the various levels of negotiation and persuasion required.
  • Uses computer-based tools (e.g., SFDC, Oracle, Microsoft Office) in daily work.
  • Assists in developing standard policies and procedures to support DBS methods and metrics.
  • Responsible for following quality system procedures as required.
  • Interprets customer needs and aids the customer in defining technical and commercial requirements. Manages Quotation data base.
  • Works with field sales to manage assigned accounts for product direction, growth, and attaining sales objectives.
  • Small account management including meeting/exceeding annual revenue targets.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  •   Bachelor’s degree (B.S.), engineering discipline preferred, from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of two years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
