Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago employment agency that specializes in technical sales, engineering and supply chain recruitment and placement. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer with lighting and electronics experience.

Description:

  • Develop and nurture key accounts with $500K yearly potential.
  • Grow business with existing customers and by identifying new customers through cold calling and follow up of qualified leads.

• Develop quarterly assigned account plans that will drive sales activities within the first 3 months and reviewing and improving the plan for effectiveness of that plan each quarter following.

• Develop and maintain a strategic relationship with all identified “key” accounts by completing a strategic customer plan.

  • Maximize account penetration by meeting key contacts with every 6 months.

  • Maximize company profit while maintaining high level of customer loyalty by independently negotiating at least (2) $1M+ contracts/year.
  • Become proficient with project management tools and communication skills needed to handle complex development programs with key opportunities.
  • Special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 6 Years of applicable OEM sales experience or lighting sales/product knowledge/experience/success.

• BS Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

• 5 Years Experience in high-tech lighting industry.

• Experience in negotiation of business contracts above $1M.

Preferred Skills:

• Key account/program management Training.

• Experience with CRM software.

• Experience with international business development.

• Experience with Lotus Notes.
