Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago recruiting firm that specializes in engineering, procurement, operations and supply chain recruitment and placement. One of our clients, an international leader in the global transportation business, seeks a Supply Chain professional with the following skill set. The position is responsible for leading the daily efficient and effective coordination of the supply chain from the United States to international locations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of supply, projects, shipping, planning, queries, quality and quotations

• Management of outbound logistics of product where required

• Maintain accurate stock-keeping records and product security prior to shipping in order to provide Delivery-In-Full and On-Time and Fit-For-Purpose (DIFOT) of components, parts or kits to maintenance, manufacturing or customers locations.

• Coordinate and provide administrative support to Aftermarket Parts and Accessories Division (AMP) Sales and Customer Service staff including interpretation of customer requirements

• Coordinate and provide administrative support for company procurement staff

  • Ensure in-full and fit-for-purpose supply of components to Freight Manufacturing

• Coordinate purchase order administration, including shipment preparation and management and delivery of outstanding orders to achieve target service levels.

• Coordinate international logistics administration, including transport preparation and management, documentation, freight forwarder KPIs, and transit of shipments to achieve target service levels.

• Interface with supply chain, manufacturing, accounts functions and vendors to resolve queries.

• Maintain inventory in transit database records, including accurate ex works receipts (GRA) and branch transfers (BT) to destination sites.

• Coordinate and provide administrative support for warranty related claims including providing visibility and following up with warranty information.

• Coordinate assist with administration of QA systems processes and procedures, including quality control issues, management of NCRs and warranty claims, as well as provide technical support to manufacturing, supply and quality.

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive overview of detailed supply activities and integrated material planning for all manufacturing and maintenance requirements, communicate any risk management, including driving the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process

• Facilitate delivery and support of company forecasts

• Analysis of existing processes with the objective of eliminating waste, improve service and/or reduce cost, including recommendations for implementing change

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • APICS qualification
  • 5+ years supply chain experience for a global company
  • Experience with automotive, rail or aerospace industry is a plus
