Kappa Search is a technical recruiting firm that specializes in engineering, manufacturing, operations and supply chain recruitment and placement. We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager for an automotive parts manufacturer. The Manufacturing Manager  is responsible for the production of quality products  and supervision of the manufacturing team for component parts, subassemblies, packaging or completed units.  Additionally,  the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding all customer quality and productivity  requirements in the most cost effective manner.

Responsibilities:

  • The Manufacturing Manager will develop and implement new manufacturing process plans.
  • Will establish and maintain positive relationships with direct reports, associates, customers and suppliers.
  • Analyze operational needs and recommend changes and improvements.
  • Select production supervisory staff and direct their development and manage their career plans.
  • Operate with a minimum of supervision and work collaboratively in a team environment to find solutions to problems.
  • Adapt to changing needs, recognize and set priorities, and to plan, coordinate and organize own work and work of others.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years experience in an assembly manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
  • Knowledge of general automotive manufacturing techniques ranging from assemblies to structure, production processes, quality controls, and costs.
  • Management experience with cost and productivity reports
  • Proven track record of driving measureable accountability
  • Will develop, implement and drive a robust production control plan.
  • Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Will be proficient in resource allocation and automotive production methods.
  • General Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) expertise.
  • Ability to develop, train, and improve manufacturing work force while enhancing production efficiency, productivity, quality and safety.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent is desired.
