Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago recruiting firm that specializes in engineering, manufacturing, operations and technical sales recruitment and placement for a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, injection molding, CNC machining and chemical process. We are currently recruitng for several manufacturing engineers with CNC machining expertise.

The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, design, recommend change, and optimize the CNC machine manufacturing processes, which includes high speed 5-Axis HMC.

Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Engineer is to create, document, develop, and implement procedures and processes required to manufacture machined metal parts in conformance with customer and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include interpretation of customer purchase orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications. Additional responsibility will include the programming of a 3,4, and 5 Axis Machining Center (s) and high speed, 5-axis, Horizontal Machining Center. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, improve and document, the CNC machining/ manufacturing processes.
  • Set up processes and activities to provide the least disruption to machine up time while still providing quality product.
  • Analyze process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
  • Design and develop processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with high quality output and low product cost.
    • Determine material removal rates, surface speed and feed rates.
  • Estimate production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
  • Perform programming of 3/4-Axis and 5-Axis High Speed Machining Centers
