Kappa Search Inc. is a Chicago recruiting company that specializes in engineering, manufacturing, operations and supply chain recruitment and placement. We are currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst with ERP experience.


  • Will perform daily operations systems checklist and communications with Operations Managers
  • Will prepare monthly operations performance reports
  • Manage exception notices and communicating to proper parties for action
  • Control and maintain item master file
  • Track and document changes to functional and business system specifications
  • Test new and modified programs
  • Creating or assisting others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures
  • Investigate and address systems issues
  • Conduct training/re-training of system use and processes
  • Ensure consistent system and operations practices across multiple locations
  • Receive, investigate and address help desk calls
  • Communicate and resolve exceptions with facilities personnel and management
  • Apply knowledge and experience to recommend business process improvements
  • Monitor customer service metrics and analyzing performance gaps
  • Design new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts, studying system capabilities and writting specifications
  • Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in Production and Inventory Control, Operations, Purchasing, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience in material control/production planning environment
  • Experience with business systems and processes
  • Evidence of analytical aptitude
  • Advance manufacturing systems/planning knowledge – ERP experience
  • MS Office expertise – Must be able to use software packages including; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple discplines with internal and external resources
  • Must be able to develop presentations, documentation and training on complex subjects
  • Provide clear and concise communications
