ARDEX American doubles size of plant in Mansfield, Texas

ARDEX America is currently expanding its manufacturing facility in Mansfield, Texas, according to an official company statement. The original 35,000-square-foot plant was built in 2009, and the company is adding 45,000 square feet to the facility to increase operations and meet growing demand.

Much of the expansion will be used for warehouse space, according to Plant Manager Marshall Seavers. The new space will improve inventory and logistics for the company in the Southwest.

ARDEX America employs 14 workers in Mansfield, Texas, who will produce nearly 43 million pounds of product by the end of 2014.

The Mansfield plant is also one of eight ARDEX America Training Centers, and earned SHARP certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 2012, meaning the company is known as a small business with a superior injury and illness prevention program. The facility has also been recognized by the City of Mansfield as an industrial leader in the community, according to the statement.

"The city is very supportive of our efforts and excited about our growth," Seavers said. "ARDEX is very happy to be a positive contribution to the city of Mansfield."

Businesses expanding their operations should work with manufacturing recruiters to get connected with the most qualified candidates for their open positions.
