Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, recently said Great River Industries is expanding its operations in Natchez, Mississippi. The company, formerly known as Enersteel, is investing $4 million to move its corporate headquarters to the city and add 12,000 square feet to its current manufacturing space.
Great River Industries manufactures fabricated steel plate products including storage tanks and pressure vessels, according to the governor's statement. After the expansion, the company will increase its production of ductwork and other air quality control products for the energy industry.
Bryant is happy about the company's decision to expand in Mississippi, which he said is an investment in the area and its economy.
"Job creation and retention are vital to a healthy economy, and I thank the company for creating new energy-related job opportunities for the residents of southwest Mississippi." said Bryant. 'I wish the company many years of success in Adams County."
According to the company, the expansion was made possible by working with the Mississippi Development Authority, which provided assistance for the construction project.
The company currently has a workforce of approximately 150 people in Natchez and plans to hire 25 additional workers.
Businesses expanding their manufacturing operations in Mississippi should work with manufacturing recruiters to find the most skilled workers for their open positions.
