Insiders Believe Republicans Can Reshape Themselves By Focusing On The Manufacturing industry
Now that President-Elect Trump has rested the White House from the Democrats after an eight year reign, there are more than a few people who feel they have pinpointed how the GOP could hold onto the office after his time is over.
The National Review points out that Trump won the Presidency thanks in large part to Rust Belt states that are at the heart and soul of the American Manufacturing Industry. While the Republicans have long been pointed to as the party that never wants to help white collar workers that make up this industry, Trump managed to convince them, en masse he was someone who was going to listen to them.
Now he needs to actually listen to them and if he does, along with a Republican controlled House and US Senate, it could be the dawn of a new age in America. The manufacturing industry has been one that has seen more jobs than most get shipped outside the country. Candidate Trump has long claimed he was going to reverse that trend.
If he can bring jobs that have long been going overseas, it would be a huge boon for an industry that has been working hard to evolve rather than die. The new American manufacturing industry is one that uses tool to make items that are bigger, faster and better. They are one of the most technologically advanced industries around yet are often looked at as a dinosaur because of preconceived notions.
The resurgent Republicans have a real chance to reinvision themselves as friends of the manufacturing industry and that would be a huge positive no matter what party you side with.
