KI Logistics expands North American headquarters

A subsidiary of Kimura Unity, KI Logistics is expanding its North American headquarters, according to Area Development. KI Logistics will increase the size of its logistics facility located in Greenville County, South Carolina, by 64,000 square feet, bringing the total size to 272,000 square feet. This expansion is taking place before the building has even opened for operations.

KI Logistics is investing $2.7 million in addition to its original investment of $11.5 million for the facility, Area Development reported. At the beginning of the project, the company projected it would create 149 new jobs. However, the latest growth to the company and building is expected to add another 20 new positions.

Some employees have already been hired and KI Logistics is working with a local company readySC to train them, according to Area Development.

The company plans to start operations in July, before the addition is finished in September.

"We congratulate KI Logistics on their decision to invest another $2.7 million and create 20 more jobs, on top of the $11.5 million and 149 jobs already announced," said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

Companies expanding their business should work with operations recruiters to find the most skilled candidates for their open positions.
