Klein Tools opens heat treating facility in Texas

Klein Tools, an Illinois-based tool manufacturer, is opening a new heat treating facility in Mansfield, Texas, in April. Klein is the only tool manufacturer that focuses on electrical and utility applications.

The creation of two manufacturing plants by Klein in the Mansfield area has already added 200 new jobs.

Klein Tools has been able to expand its operations in Mansfield due to the help of Texas Gov. Rick Perry and economic incentives from The Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF). The TEF was created in 2003 and provides state leaders with financial resources to entice businesses to relocate, build and expand in their state. Funds help a business build infrastructure, provide job training and more. To award the funds to a particular business, the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker must unanimously agree to use the TEF for the project.

"Texas has created a world-class economic climate based on low taxes, smart regulations and fair courts that gives innovative businesses the opportunity to create jobs and quality, American-made products," Gov. Perry stated. "Klein Tools is a valued member of the Texas and Mansfield communities and has created hundreds of jobs for hardworking Texans. We look forward to their continued success with this new facility."

Businesses should partner with manufacturing recruiters to find the most skilled labor for their expanding operations. Recruiters take on the difficult task of finding the most qualified employees so businesses can focus on other issues like creating new products and delivering quality service to their customers.
