National Golden Tissue receives loan to aid its expansion

National Golden Tissue has been approved for a $300,000 loan to expand their facility in Hagerstown, Maryland, according to a statement from the Washington County, Maryland, Department of Public Relations and Community Affairs. The loan will help the company acquire and renovate additional space in order to increase its production.

The company was founded in Washington County, Maryland, in 2008 and currently manufactures paper towels, napkins as well as bath and facial tissue. It distributes its products under brand and private label names in the U.S. and Canada, according to the statement.

Along with various partners, it's investing $13 million into this project. The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development approved a $4 million loan for the company earlier in 2014. National Golden Tissue will also receive a $200,000 loan from Washington County as well as state and local tax credits to aid its growth.

The company expects to retain its current 70 positions and create 120 new full-time jobs.

Businesses that are expanding their operations and creating new jobs should partner with manufacturing recruiters to find the most qualified candidates for their open positions.
