Management consulting firm Hay Group is expanding their Philadelphia operations center, according to Area Development. After working with the Governor's Action Team, the company is investing more than $4.3 million to include a solutions lab and technology hub at its current facility for the purpose of designing and creating web-based applications.
Hay Group has been in Philadelphia since 1943, and financial assistance approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development helped the company expand. The funding includes a $150,000 grant to aid job creation and a $130,000 tax credit based on the number of new positions. To receive the grant and tax credit, the company must first apply to each program.
The company will retain its current 185 positions and create 65 new jobs over the next three years.
"The Hay Group's decision to expand and create 65 new jobs in our city is just the latest example in a long line of companies choosing to start, stay and grow in Philadelphia," said Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter.
Businesses creating new jobs should work with operations recruiters to find the most qualified professionals for their open positions.
