Ioxus announced it'll open a second manufacturing facility in Oneonta, N.Y. Ioxus produces performance ultracapacitor technology for use in transportation, energy and industrial projects. The company's new plant will be near the Ioxus headquarters in Oneonta and the 22,000 square feet of space will be used for electrode manufacturing and module assembly.
The company currently employs 150 workers spread out among four locations in the U.S. The new facility in New York will add more than 30 jobs to the Oneonta area.
The expansion comes after months of growth for the company. Ioxus brought on new customers such as FlexGen Power and The Long Island Rail Road.
Ioxus also recently launched their new iMOD X-Series for their ultracapacitors. The new product allows for flexible voltage configurations in all of their ultracapacitors and corrects flaws found in their previous designs such as disproportionate heating and aging of center cells, according to Solar Novus Today.
Businesses in the technology and energy industries should work with manufacturing and engineering recruiters to find the best candidates for their new positions. Recruiters can bridge the gap between skilled workers and businesses with new jobs.
