Load Delivered Logistics expands Chicago office

Chicago welcomes 60 new jobs created by Load Delivered Logistics, a third-party logistics provider that's expanding its River North office, according to a company statement.

Load Delivered Logistics has focused on temperature-controlled shipping, which has recently boosted the demand for its services. Temperature-controlled shipping is the service that gained the company popularity seven years ago and it's remained an important part of the frozen food and meat supply chain. Temperature-controlled shipping accounts for almost half of Load Delivered Logistics' business, and several of its key clients are Chicago-based food and beverage companies.

The company chose to double the size of its workforce in Chicago because the Midwest is a major hub for the frozen food and meat industries, according to Robert Nathan, CEO of Load Delivered Logistics. The business also plans to continue its expansion over the next two years and hire another 250 employees by the end of 2016. Load Delivered Logistics will move to a larger facility in the future, according to the statement.

"We're growing – fast – and we want to prepare for our next growth cycle," said Nathan in the statement. "We wouldn't be where we are today without the hard work and dedication of our team, so we want to ensure our office accommodates them."

To help guide its growth and expanding workforce, Load Delivered Logistics has added a board of advisors, which includes Director of Mattersight Corp. and Avid Technology, Inc. Dave Mullen, Director for Versapay Art Mesher and Vice Chairman of CenterPoint Properties' board of trustees Paul Fisher.

Businesses expanding their operations in Illinois should work with Chicago recruiters. By working with a local recruiting firm, companies gain access to the candidates who are not only qualified for the open positions, but also the best in their fields.
