Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is consolidating its Bolingbrook and Niles, Illinois, workforces into one building in Woodbridge. The company announced it was building a 350,000-square-foot facility in Woodridge, Illinois, in September 2013. Orbus Exhibit & Display partnered with McShane Construction Company to develop the facility.
The newly finished facility is located on 20 acres of land in the Union Pointe business park, according to Exhibitor. The building is ideally located near Interstates 355 and 55 as well as airports and downtown Chicago.
It provides 272,511 square feet for warehouse space, including 20 dock doors, 20,000 square feet for production areas, 62,000 square feet is allocated to graphics production and 55,000 square feet is for office space. The company left room for a 82,000-square-foot expansion as well as more parking spaces for future growth.
Orbus Exhibit & Display experienced no downtime as a result of the move. Work was transferred to its Las Vegas facility for a few days to meet customer needs without halting production.
Businesses consolidating and expanding their operations should partner with manufacturing recruiters to find the most qualified candidates for its open positions.
