TurtleCell offers its product for pre-order and moves to bigger office

Startup company TurtleCell is moving from Ann Arbor, Michigan, to a new office space in Kerrytown, Michigan, according to MLive. TurtleCell  manufacturers iPhone 5 and 5s cases with built-in, retractable headphones. The cases hide 3.5 feet of cord in a 7-millimeter-thick case.

Because of the companies growth and need for space to hire new employees, the current six employees are getting a new home, MLive reported. TurtleCell plans to hire at least three workers during the summer and triple in size within the year. The company needs engineers, product designers, marketers and people with superior technical skills.

TurtleCell started out at Ann Arbor SPARK, an economic development group, which helped TurtleCell build its business plan and sales pitch. Because of this, the company has raised more than $350,000 in funding.

"TurtleCell is a prime example of how, when offered the right ecosystem and support, young talent will choose to stay in the Ann Arbor region, and create jobs here," Ann Arbor SPARK Chief Executive Officer Paul Krutko said.

In addition to the expansion, the company has launched its product for pre-order online and the products will be available for delivery in October.

Small startup businesses should work with technical recruiters to find the most skilled and up-and-coming talent for their open positions.
