UNICOM Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of UNICOM Global, plans to double the size of its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Canton, Massachusetts. The company builds and sells technology products as well as provides services to software developers and equipment manufacturers across the globe. The Massachusetts-based technology company is expanding its facility to 44,000 square feet, the Boston Business Journal reported.
UNICOM Engineering invested $312,000 into the project, which it expects to finish by the end of May. Approximately $205,000 will go toward improving the current manufacturing portion of the facility and the remaining $107,000 is a capital investment in equipment.
The facility currently employs about 120 people and will hire 10 more by the end of the year. The building in Canton is home to UNICOM Engineering's manufacturing, engineering, finance and customer service employees, who build, test, repair and refurbish computer servers, according to the Boston Business Journal.
Businesses like UNICOM Engineering should partner with engineering recruiters to fill their open positions with the most qualified candidates. Companies benefit from a recruiter's ability to find workers with the skills and education necessary for each position.
